Thank you to everyone who attended our Night of Big Dreams fundraiser at Occidental College.
Look for us at Open House on May 23rd at the school, where we will have a silent auction that will include summer camps at Occidental College.
EREEF is proud to recognize the following businesses & people who have made particularly generous donations for this year’s auctions or towards the library project.
Library Expansion & Modernization Project
EREEF is proud to report on the progress that has been made on the library project.
We have made our goal of $20,000!
With these funds, the renovation is almost complete and the final move of the library collection is close.
Now that the expansion is almost complete, EREEF is raising funds for modernization such as a computer lab and an eBook library. Pease join us in this effort!
We will be hosting our annual fundraiser at Occidental College on May 11 at 7pm.
Contact ewwzone-golibrary@yahoo.comfor questions about library project.
We give special thanks to ERE parent Brian Krueger for generously offering his shop (Graham Lee Associates, Inc.) and services to use the $5000 Lowe's grant to build book cases valued at $20,000.
Who We Are
Our foundation is basically a group of determined parent and teacher volunteers who are fighting to make sure the kids at our school get the educational opportunities they deserve.
Highlights of Our Accomplishments
Our Goals
We have set our sights on creating a new high-tech library with a reading garden. We aim to bring our classrooms up to date with proper educational tools and technology; the teachers have specifically requested a document reader and a working computer in every classroom. We’ll continue working to fund these projects and whatever other needs our school may face, especially in the face of severe budget cuts.
Who We Serve
Eagle Rock Elementary School, part of the Los Angeles Unified School District, educates over 1000 children, nearly two thirds of whom are members of low income families. The kids are diverse in every imaginable way including ethnically, linguistically and economically. Some students are classified as highly gifted; others have significant special needs. We’re proud that by working together the students and teachers have achieved the special designation of being a Blue Ribbon School and an “API” of 875.
How We Work
Our foundation is fortunate to be a project of Community Partners, which is an incubator that helps nourish young nonprofits. They give us our nonprofit status as a registered 501(c)3 organization, with the tax id number 95-4302067.
